Ambrose, thank you!
The Vatican, along with the local diocese, commissioned Pollock to make the altar for John Paul’s Papal mass at Laguna Seca, one of the stops on his 1987 visit to the U.S. What better recommendation do you need that this man makes divine furniture? Just a note to let you know how much I continue to love my drawing board. It’s the place where I spend all my time. This drawing board is a beautiful piece of art. I wonder how many books will pass over it’s surface and spring from it’s paint and pencil drawers? At this moment it’s a baseball book. Thanks again.
Our chair was high, dry and beautiful during the rains and still is. We really love it. It is both a pleasure to use and to look at.
The table is now complete! The glass was delivered a couple of days ago. This is just to let you know that the finished product is simply beautiful. The Koa wood choice was exactly right, for it is very attractive and the color harmonizes nicely with our teak furniture. We are especially pleased with your expert
cabinetry. The ebony splines and diamond-shaped inserts add a tremendous effect to the design and can be readily seen through the glass table-top. Everybody is much impressed. And we are happy to tell one and all that you are the one who gets the credit!
Ambrose, what a pleasure it was getting to know you and having you contribute to the house. Your designs and finished cabinets help make the house very special.
I agree that Ambrose creates beautiful pieces of art; functional and sooo beautiful!
Thanks so much for going out of your way to make a second trip. Barbara and I are
enjoying both pieces of furniture a great deal. You do wonderful work. Our best for your continued success changing wood into treasures.
I love the bookcase with file drawers. The pulls work beautifully. Aphrodite looks so beautiful on the Doric Columns. So many thanks.
I am truly grateful ….for helping realize Bob’s wish for me to have a quilt armoire. Bob would have been as pleased as I am of the completed piece. Ambrose did an outstanding work and I am especially thankful of the inscription he wrote crediting Bob’s input. That was a very thoughtful gesture! Please stay in touch and thank you for your kindness and cooperation in producing the armoire for us.
I am writing on behalf of our club, to thank you for the outstanding presentation that you made at our June 26th meeting. Your discussion of the history of the Shakers and the construction of Shaker boxes was extremely interesting and informative.
Ambrose, incredible.
The fantastic desk is now set up with its’ beauty gracing Dilip’s “office”. It will be used daily and greatly cherished for many, many years. Thank you for creating this wonderful masterpiece! It is a rare treasure.
Thank you for your letter of March….. . Please find enclosed copy of the agreement you sent to me duly signed. When I am there in July…..I will discuss with you the design of the remaining beds.
On behalf of Lynette Jennings and Spring River Productions, I would like to thank you once again for your generosity in participating with the production of the Lynette Jennings, Design television show. You
will be excited to know that the initial focus group results for the new show are the highest the Discovery Channel has ever had.
The table looks beautiful! As usual, your work is masterful. It is all together now and
really brings together our living room.
Your beautiful furniture was so much admired during our Hotel Tour on Sunday. We deeply appreciate your having participated so generously and for have created such a bower of warmth and beauty in the
Fireside Room.
Thank you so much for repairing our cabinet! Needless to say, this piece is of enormous sentimental value to us. We experienced great heartache when we realized the damage that had occurred and felt very neglectful to our oversight. Dave and I are eternally grateful to have a Master Cabinetmaker restore it!! We are certain Dave’s Dad would be very happy, and that means the world to us.
There is a feeling of pure creation in Pollock’s light-washed Carmel River “studio”. On the walls, favorite paintings, a large photo of his wife Michele, a poem about logging written by a friend in Big Sur, punctuate the quiet mood of the shop. Each piece is crafted by Ambrose……rounded edges on a small walnut box are carefully worked and polished for hours. A Morris chair, Shaker bench or harvest table are all-consuming projects.
